Why a special offering?
As part of God’s plan to grow the faith of the people in His church, He calls us to sacrificial giving from time to time. The ONE Offering is an opportunity for us to grow in our faith and to prepare us for what God wants to do through our church in 2024. This offering positions us to make a greater impact in our city, in our church, and around the world in 2024.
What are “Here and There” About?
Each year your generosity through the ONE Offering makes a significant impact locally, regionally, and globally. We like to define that as Here, and There.
What’s the difference between my tithe and the ONE Offering?
The ONE Offering is giving done above the tithe. What is a tithe? A tithe, according to the bible, is 1/10 of your increase given as a faithful act of obedience. From time to time there are opportunities to give in a sacrificial way above and beyond the tithe. The ONE Offering is one of those sacrificial occasions that stretch us to grow in our faith. The special offering should be over and above what you would regularly give.
How Much Should I Give?
Since our goal is $500,000, the ONE Offering will involve everyone. We only ask that you prayerfully consider a sacrificial gift that will stretch your faith. The precise amount you give is between you and God.
Why is the Goal So Large?
Big dreams require big faith and big funding. The pace of accomplishing these big dreams will be determined in large part by your gifts to the ONE Offering. We want to continue to see God use Lifepoint Church to impact our community and world in a big way. We actually hope to exceed the goal this year!
When Should I Give?
While we will officially bring our offering as a church beginning on Sunday, December 10th, you can give your ONE Offering now through December 31st, 2023 at 11:59pm.
How Do I Give?
There are several ways to give.
Do I have to join something to give to the ONE Offering?
No. We recognize that where your money is your heart is as well, which means you get to determine how much you want to be a part of this movement, but there is no obligation.
